In 2012 the President of the Renton Fish and Game Club approached Bob Louser and asked if he could organize and coach a youth shotgun shooting team.  The team would be part of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP).  With the help of assistant coaches Pat McCollough and Dale Shawley, the RF&GC Crushers were formed. Word spread that we were forming a youth team and with the help of the local membership we were able to get a small number of shooters signed up and ready for Thursday afternoon practice.  This all happened in the late fall and by Spring we were ready to take a small squad of young athletes to Spokane for the State tournament.  We were pleasantly rewarded with a 2nd- place high over all finish. In our second year we joined a new national organization USAYESS, of which we are currently members.  Throughout the years we have had many new shooters, as well as assistant coaches and parent helpers.  Our current coaches include head coach Mike Beck, and assistant Bob Louser.  We have progressed from the second- place finish at state to many individual state and national champions.  We currently furnish shells at practice and at meets as well as paying entry fees.  This is possible through fundraising and many generous donors who support our program.
